Border State Alternate Tuition Rate – Effective Fall 2009 for incoming students

Starting with the Fall 2009 semester, non-resident new first-time freshman and new transfer undergraduate students – as well as new first-time graduate students – who live in the states of Missouri, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, and Arkansas will pay an Alternate Tuition Rate of 1.0 times the current applicable in-state tuition rate.

Starting with the Fall 2014 semester, non-resident new first-time freshman and new transfer undergraduate students – as well as new first-time graduate students – who live in the states of Iowa and Wisconsin will pay an Alternate Tuition Rate of 1.0 times the current applicable in-state tuition rate.

This Alternate Tuition Rate will not apply to students who are pursuing one of these degrees:  JD, LLM, or MD.  It also will not apply to students pursuing the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

Effective Fall 2017, this Alternate Tuition Rate will no longer be offered to undergraduate students due to a change in domestic undergraduate tuition, since out-of-state domestic undergraduate students – including those in the seven states noted above – will automatically be charged the applicable in-state undergraduate tuition rate without the need for this alternate tuition rate program.  However, this Alternate Tuition Rate will continue to be offered to qualifying graduate students.
