The Calculators

  • For Students Taking On-Campus Classes  .......................................................  UndergraduateGraduateLawMSPA
        – students normally register for courses with section numbers 001 to 799
        – such courses are normally delivered in on-campus classroom or other "face-to-face" scenarios
  • For Students Taking Off-Campus / Online (a.k.a. "Extended Campus") Classes  ..............  UndergraduateGraduate
        – students normally register for courses with section numbers 900 to 999
        – such courses may be delivered in off-campus "face-to-face" or online or "hybrid" scenarios
    Students taking On-Campus and Extended Campus courses at the same time will need to reference both types of the above calculators.

Other Cost Information

  • For Military Programs Students
        – these students are considered Extended Campus students (and are charged as such)
        – students normally register for "face-to-face" courses with section numbers 900 to 939 meeting at/near military bases
        – students may also register for online courses with section numbers 940 to 95Z that are affiliated with military bases
  • For Online MBA Degree Students
        – graduate students entering this program will be assessed a distinct flat tuition/fee rate of $854 per credit hour
        – students normally register for online courses with section numbers 840 to 849
  • For School of Medicine M.D. Students
        – M.D. degree students registered in courses with subject code SMED, normally for 21 hours per term
        – the 2016-2017 M.D. degree student budgets may be found here
        – the 2017-2018 M.D. degree student budgets may be found here
  • For School of Medicine MEDPREP and Graduate Students
        – students enrolled exclusively in the MEDPREP post-baccalaureate program are normally assessed at undergraduate rates
        – MEDPREP students also enrolled in a graduate program are normally assessed at graduate student rates
        – M.S. or Ph.D. degree students are normally assessed at graduate student rates
        – M.S.P.A. degree students are assessed graduate student tuition plus a tuition surcharge as calculated here
  • For SIUE Regional Nursing Program at Carbondale Undergraduate Students
        – students in this collaborative program will be billed by both SIUC and SIUE to cover tuition and general student fees
               ♦ these students will be billed by SIUE for SIUE tuition based on SIUE course enrollment
               ♦ these students will be billed by SIUE for the SIUE Information Technology fee based on SIUE course enrollment
               ♦ these students will be billed by SIUC for SIUC tuition based on any SIUC course enrollment
               ♦ these students will be billed by SIUC for the SIUC Information Technology fee based on any SIUC course enrollment
               ♦ these students will be billed by SIUC for other general student fees based on the combined SIUE/SIUC course enrollment
        – this billing arrangement is per a 2010 Intra-University System Memorandum of Understanding between SIUE and SIUC
