The SIU Board of Trustees approved tuition and mandatory fee rates for the 2026-2027 school year (effective Fall 2026) at their February and April 2026 meetings.  Below is a summary of most of those rates.  More details will be included later in the Tuition and Fee Calculators.  The first bill for Fall 2026 charges is scheduled to be produced by the Bursar on Wednesday, July 15.

Tuition Costs for Fall 2026

The resident-equivalent tuition rates for undergraduate students not in the College of Business & Analytics [CoBA] will be as follows:

• $327.75 per hour ....... new/transfer students starting in Fall 2026
• $321.25 per hour ....... non-new/transfer students who started Spring 2021 thru Summer 2026
• $327.75 per hour ....... non-new/transfer students who started before Spring 2021

The resident-equivalent tuition rates for undergraduate students in CoBA will be as follows:

• $377.00 per hour ....... new/transfer CoBA students starting in Fall 2026
• $369.50 per hour ....... non-new/transfer CoBA students who started Spring 2021 thru Summer 2026
• $377.00 per hour ....... non-new/transfer CoBA students who started before Spring 2021

The resident-equivalent tuition rates for graduate and Law students will be as follows:

• $479.00 per hour ....... most graduate students
• $550.85 per hour ....... CoBA graduate students
• $986.00 per hour ....... MSPA graduate students
• $645.50 per hour ....... DMSc graduate students
• $547.00 per hour ....... Law students

The mandatory fee rates will be as follows:

• $131.50 per hour ...... General Student Fee (on-campus)
• $80.00 per hour ........ General Student Fee (online/off-campus)
• $26.00 per hour ........ Textbook Fee
• $1,139.00 per term ... Student Insurance Fee
• $3.00 per term .......... Student-to-Student Grant Fee (undergraduate students)
• $499.00 per term ...... Academic Support Fee (Law students)
